The 15 -day ban which was imposed by the government of India has been withdrawn yesterday (30-08-12) with immediate effect. The ban which was imposed on the 17th of August was said to be in effect till the 31st of August, but the government has withdrawn the ban a day before the mentioned time.

After the ban of SMS and MMS in India for 15 days, the govt raised the toll to 20 SMS for a day, previously it was only 5 numbers. Rumors spreading for the attack of other state people, the govt took the action of banning SMS for 15 days. The Ministry of Communication revised the numbers and it will come into place with immediate effect.
