|Jiaozhou Bay of Qingdao – Longest Bridge in the World with 8 lanes|
Jiaozhou Bay of Qingdao in East China's Shandong province is the world's longest cross-sea bridge which was opened for the public on Thursday. Jiaozhou Bay of Qingdao is 41.58-km, eight-lane connects the urban district of the city to its Huangdao district and the cost of the world's longest cross-sea bridge is 14.8 billion yuan ($2.3 billion).
The construction of the Jiaozhou Bay of Qingdao was started in the year 2007 and the ended up in the year 2011. The main aim of the bridge is to shorten the route between the two centers by 30 km, cutting travel time from more than 40 minutes to about 20 minutes.
