This region of Sri Lanka was formerly known as Ceylon an Asian country hanging on to India and lying on the Indian Ocean. Colloquial language The local residents speak Sinhala while tamil and English are the other optional languages. It’s much more common in the beach and tourist areas. The staple food of Sri Lankans is rice and curry - a massive mound of rice surrounded by various curries and delicacies. The inmates eat with their hands and this might look a little disgusting for the outsiders but it gives you all the liberation to eat when served with chicken and curry. Water is not advised for those new enteries but a glass of Milk can do wonders to your digestion. The Thambli is a coconut extract that will give a great refreshing experience.
