Sony Xperia Go, one of the new entrant of Sony smartphone collection list is the is available online in shopping sites such as Flipkart and Infibeam. The handeset is available for Rs 18,799 in Infibeam and for Rs 18,999 in Flipkart. The launch date of the mobile in India has not been announced by the maker yet.

The Xperia Go which is claimed to have rugged qualities like dust proof, water proof and scratch proof like the Motorola Defy was announced in the month of May 2012. The handsets is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The mobile phone has a 3.5 inches display with HVGA 480 x 320 pixels resolution. Other display features include scratch resistance, dust and water resistance. With 8GB of inbuilt memory storage and 512 MB of RAM, a microSD card can be used to expand the memory up to 32GB.

The smartphone holds delight for Camera freaks too. A 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording provides quick and quality image capturing and video recording experience. Like the recent releases from Sony, the Xperia Go also has the Mobile Bravia engine.

For entertainment Sony has given unlimited music, video viewing and downloads of latest music albums, Hollywood movies and TV series. The handset is available in black, white and yellow colors.

The addition of Xperia Go has strengthened Sony's sub-20,000 smartphone segment. The recent launch below 20k from Sony was the Xperia Sola which is priced at Rs 19,999.
