Apple gets Patent for Slide to Unlock

Slide to unlock feature which is now featured in most of the smartphone, is now been claimed to be a patented one to the Apple. Right from the first version of the iPhone, this particular feature has been blessed and it is the year 2010 only the patent rights have been given to Apple. Motorola Mobility was also trying to get patent, but it was Apple who succeeded them and it is also Apple's victory over Motorola Mobility. The company also brushed off that the  judgment will impact its future supply or sales, as it plans to appeal against the verdict.

Florian Mueller, Patent expert added "Apple is already asserting the slide-to-unlock patent in different jurisdictions against all three leading Android device makers and might use it against even more of them going forward".

A spokesman from Motorola Mobility added that the patent rights of the slide to unlock feature will affect the phones that are been sold in Munich, Germany.  The company also have implemented a new design to replace the feature.
