RIM PlayBook OS 2.0, the much awaited device from RIM is in the headlines with regard to its launch date. The PlayBook OS 2.0 was expected to be released by the 17th of February, 2012. The recent news quoted by tech2.in.com as reported by n4bb.com, suggest that the PlayBook OS 2.0 will have a bit more delay. Now, the expected released date of PlayBook OS 2.0 is on 21st of February.

Since RIM is not a fresher for introducing its products late, a slight delay is quite negligible. Sources have also confirmed that the delay is not an attempt by RIM to bring in the BBM feature. As per the earlier rumors, the PlayBook OS 2.0 which is expected to come with applications for calendar, Email and contacts, will be missing out BBM service.

RIM will be bringing in the BBM service soon or later. However, the BBM service can be used through bridge. It is also expected that the Bridge 2.0 version can also have its launch on 21st of February itself. The Bridge 2.0 will have remote control and a few new features.

The PlayBook 2.0 is expected to come with good applications and multiple coding language support. The PlayBook 2.0 was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012.
