| Microsoft to launch beta version of Windows 8 on Feb 29 |
![]() Microsoft Corporation on 8th of February let out details on the launch of the beta version of its latest Windows operating system, Windows 8. Microsoft failed with its Vista Operating system which the company launched a few years ago, but the Windows 7 OS, however, turned the situation upside down as it was a runaway hit. The beta version os Windows 8 operating system will be unveiled at the 'Windows Consumer Preview' event which has been scheduled on the 29th of February at Barcelona during mobile World Congress gathering. More details on the Windows 8 OS will be released officially by the end of February, 2012. Along with the launch of Windows 8 test version, an app-store which has programs especially designed for the new OS will also be launched. Microsoft hinted the opening of its first ever Windows Store which will feature third-party applications. The intention of Microsoft is to compete with Apple and Google entertainment applications built for tablet PCs, computers and mobile phones. |
