|Federer wins 7th Wimbledon title, jumps to No 1 in rankings|
Swiz master Roger Federer won his 7th Wimbledon title beating England's Andy Murray and ended his 2 and a half year drought of not winning any Grand Slams. On the other end England's hopes of witnessing a British champion at the Wimbledon after 76 years was tore apart.
Federer came back strongly after going down in the first set and beat Murray 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 at the Centre Court. Roger Federer also jumped back to the top of the ATP Rankings and added one more to his exiting tally of 16 Grand Slams.
''It feels nice,'' Federer said, clutching the gold trophy only Pete Sampras has held as many times in the modern era. ''It's like it never left me,'' said Roger Federer.
