Pietersen hoping a comeback in England squad for New Zealand tour

Kevin-Pietersen

English batsman Kevin Pietersen is hoping to make a comeback in the England squad for the upcoming New Zealand tour. Pietersen's talks with the England and Wales Cricket Board failed and so his future in English cricket was uncertain.

Pietersen was ignored by the England Cricket Board for the test tour of India in the month of November following his infamous test messages and comments made during South Africa's tour of England.

English captain Andrew Staruss, who has retired from all forms of cricket after the South African visit said that he had a chat with Kevin Pietersen in which the latter had apologized for his act. Meanwhile, England's current captain Alastair Cook has said that he is hoping for Kevin Pietersen's return once the issue is solved.

England's tour of India begins on the 3rd of November and runs till the 27th of January, 2013. The tour will have 4 test, 2 Twenty20 internationals and 5 ODI matches played between the two nations. The first test match will be played on 15th of November 2012 at 9.30 am local time to be played at Sardar Patel Stadium Motera, Ahmedabad.
