|Dhoni happy with India's warmup for World Cup T20 2012|
Indian captain MD Dhoni expressed his satisfaction over the way in which team India warmed up for the ICC Twenty20 World Cup which begins today (18-09-12). Dhoni said that the warm up games helped the team to find the best combination to play with.
India won the first warm up game against Sri Lanka and lost the second game to Pakistan by five wickets at Premadasa stadium on Monday (17-09-12). Despite losing to arch rivals, MS Dhoni pointed out the positives of the game and said he is pleased with it.
Bowling has been India's biggest defect for many years and it played a major part in India's loss to Pakistan in the warmup game. India bowled well in the depth overs, but gave away too many runs with the new ball.
MS Dhoni said that India will play all the games in the main tournament with the combination of seven batsmen and four bowlers. On this decision, Dhoni said that it is comfortable to have his batsmen to bowl the middle overs instead of picking up a fifth bowler at the cost of a batsman.
MS Dhoni also expressed his happiness over the comeback of the talented batsman Rohit Sharma. Rothit Sharma played sensible knock in the warmup match against Pakistan and seems to be in good touch.
