Nehru-Cup-2012-Syria-vs-Nepal

Syria posted their first win in the ongoing Nehru Cup 2012 tournament beating Nepal by 2-0. Syria's previous outings were a draw against Cameroon and loss against India and Maldives. By winning Nepal 2-0, Syria finished fourth in the tournament, two points behind Maldives.

Cameroon and India will be playing for the title on Sunday (02-09-12). The game had Syrian players dominating right from the Kick-off to the full time whistle. Nepal, who were brilliant in the SAFF championship looked out of form as there was no positive sign in their game.

Altayar scored the first goal of the match for Syria by sending in the ball to the bottom left corner. The game was slowed down after the first goal as Syria played patiently controlling the ball in the midfield.

The second goal for Syria came from goal scorer Altayar's through ball which reached Ghiloum and the latter made no mistake in sending the ball into the back of the net. After scoring early in the second half, Syria once played for formality to end the game.

Nepal are returning back to home without any wins and their only points on the board came through the draw which they managed against India.
