|Wesley Sneijder replaces Van Bommel as Dutch captain|
Dutch coach Louis van Gaal announced Wesley Sneijder as the captain of the Dutch football team replacing Mark an Bommel ahead of a friendly match against Belgium in Brussels. Van Bommel announced his retirement after Dutch team's early exit in Euro 2012.
The 28-year-old Sneijder, who has made 87 international appearances has been elected as the natural captain of the team. Dutch coach also announced the 4-3-3 system that the team will opt instead of 4-2-3-1 formation used by his predecessor Bert van Marwijk.
Robin Van Persie will have to wait in the bench as Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is the first option for Vaan Gal to play the central striker.
