Euro 2012 : Germany beat Greece 4-2 to enter semi-finals

The formidable German side crushed the Greeks 4-2 in the second quarterfinals of Euro 2012 to entr into the semifinals stage. 2004 Euro Cup champions Greece tired their best, but failed to match the brilliance of the Germans in the field.

The game was completely dominated by Germany and captain Philipp Lahm scored for his side in the 39th minute to get the first lead. In reply, Georgios Samaras score in the 55th minute and leveled the score.

German midfielder Sami Khedira gave the second lead for his side in the 61st minute, scoring with a volleying shot.

Germany's ace striker Miroslav Klose who replaced Hermany's current top goal scorer Mari Gomez, scored in the 68th minute by heading Mesut Ozil free Kick into the net.

Marco Reus made it almost unreachable for the Greek side by scoring in the 74th minute. Greeks then scored a consolation goal through a penalty, just one before end of play.

Germany will now play either England or Italy who will clash for the semi-finals berth on Sunday (24-06-12) in Warsaw.
