Dutch coach Guss Hiddink has been sacked by the Turkey national football team following the team's failure to qualify for the Euro 2012 tournament. The Turkish Football Federation has officially released the word that contract Dutch with the coach has been terminated on mutual agreement.

"The contract of Hiddink has been invalidated after a mutual agreement between the federation and the coach," said TFF on its website. Turkey which had a bad qualifying stage as the team managed only to draw a few matches. Turkey drew 0-0 wuth Croatia and lost on a 0-3 aggregate destroying all the chances of for Euro 2012.

Guss Hiddink was the man behind the successful Russian football team in the Euro 2008. Hiddink guided Russia to the semi-finals stage.
