Shara Force India proved a point at the 2012 Spanish F1 GP as its two drivers Paul Di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg finished seventh and fifth respectively.

The Spanish GP became all the more interesting as the wizard of F1 racing Michael Schumacher earned his first podium finish since his return to racing in 2012.

Fernando Alonso won the race in front of his home crowd for Ferrari and by doing it he increased his race wins to two in the unpredictable ongoing season. Lotus' Kimi Raikkonen finished second and Michael Schumacher came third.

Force India's Hulkenberg and Paul Di Resta who started from eighth and 10th grid position improved well in between the race to earn 16 points for the team.

The finish for both the drivers could have been better. Paul Di Resta was overtook by Mercedes' Nico Rosberg on the last lap as he was struggling due to his one-stop strategy.

Hulkenberg lost his places to Schumacher and Red Bull's Mark Webber. Indian driver Narain Karthikeyan finished 18th.
