Sebastian Vettel won his first race of the 2012 season at the Bahrain grand prix followed by Lotus F1's Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grojean. The German reached the chequered flag in 1:35:10.990. and posted his first victory of this season.

The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix was disturbed due to the civil unrest prevailing in the region. Force India's Paul Di Resta finished at the 6th slot thereby recording the on of the best results of the Formula 1 team.

Paul Di Resta played with a two-stop strategy and it worked out well. "The result today is massive for us. The team did an amazing job all weekend, the strategy came together and the pit-stops were perfect. We knew it would be a big ask to make only two stops and it was a close run thing at the end because my tyres completely went away on the final lap," he said.

Resta's team mate Nico Hulkenberg finished 12th. During the post race session nico hulkenberg told that he had issues with his clutch.
