BCCI revises Ind vs Eng ODI match timings considering due

MSD, Duncan Fletcher

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has revised the timings of the first four matches of the ODI series with England considering the dew factor which might hinder the play.

The day-night matches will begin by 12 noon which is 2½ hrs earlier than the scheduled time. The first match of the 5-match ODI series begins at Rajkot on the 11th of January, 2013.

The timings of the matches which have been changed are those which are scheduled in Kochi, Ranchi and Mohali respectively. The last day-match which will be played in Dharamsala will begin at 9 am.

BCCI has come up with this decision as the extra dew factor might get the ball slippery thereby giving a disadvantage for the side bowling second.

All the three day and night matches to be held in Kochi, Ranchi and Mohali, start play at 12 noon and end at 7.45pm. Interval will be from 3.30 pm to 4.15 pm.

The last ODI in Dharmashala will have the first session from 9 am to 12.30 pm, lunch from 12:30 pm to 01:15 pm and second session from 01:15 pm to 04:45 pm.

England's tour of India 2012 - ODI series schedule :

  • 11 January 1st ODI (D) Rajkot
  • 15 January 2nd ODI (D/N) Kochi
  • 19 January 3rd ODI (D/N) Ranchi
  • 23 January 4th ODI (D/N) Mohali
  • 27 January 5th ODI (D) Dharmashala
