Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan are the only two Indian players who are in the top 20 list of lately released ICC test rankings. Both Sachin and Zaheer have retained their 12th spot. Spinner Pragyan Ojha is the only other Indian joining Zaheer in the top 20 at the 20th spot.

South African Jacques Kallis saw a rise in his position in the batting, bowling and all-rounders ranking charts. Kallis moved two places to reach the second place in batting rankings and also displaced Bangladeshi Shakib Al Hasan as the number one ranked Test all-rounder.

Kallis also moved one place to 31st spot in bowler rankings. Kallis' unbeaten 182 and 2-38 against England in the first test has resulted in his position rise. Hashim Amla's unbeaten 311, the highest by any South African reflected in the ICC batsmen rankings. Hashim Amla moved to 4th spot and South Africa's captain Graeme Smith moved to sixth position.

Kumar Sangakkara remained in the top spot and Dale Steyn who took seven wickets in the match which includes a fifer in the second innings tops the test bowlers rankings.
