Since Pakistan's tour to India in the year 2007, both the nations have not played ODI or test series. Now it seems that the time has come to end the years-long drought of not having hardcore Indian and Pakistan cricket action.

India will be hosting Pakistan for a short tour consisting of 3 ODIs and 2 Tewnty20 internationals in the months of December and January. The matches will be held in between the test and one day match schedule of England's tour of India.

BCCI has taken the decision at the it working committee on Monday. Senior BCCI official said that the plan is to hold three ODIs in Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata, and the Twenty20 matches in Ahmedabad and Bangalore.

After the Mumbai terror attacks in the year 2008, there were no games played between the two countries, but both the teams have played each other in common venues for major tournaments like World Cup, Champions Trophy and Asia Cup.
