Depleted team India will take on the West Indies, who are also suffering from lack of star players, in a single Twenty 20 match and 5 ODI matches. The balance has become more or less even and the only thing to be blamed is the Indian Premier League organized by the BCCI with the sole purpose of making money. Now let us compare a few strengths and minuses of both the sides.

India's Tour of West Indies 2011 : Preview : Captains
Suresh Raina is captaining Team India for the first time in his career and oh the other side Darren Sammy will be leading the team. Suresh Raina would've seen much of his successful captain MS Dhoni's tactics and strategies, and we can expect Raina to follow his style of captainship. Daren Sammy has been leading the West Indies side for quite a long time since now, but hasn't been that successful. So, it will be testing time for both the captains to lead their respective team to the winning ways.

India West Indies Tour 2011: Team Strengths
Both India and West Indies have fresh bunch of players except a few who have represented their countries in the international level. Darren Sammy, Andre Russell Kirk Edwards, Lendel Simmons Ramnaresh Sarwan, Marlon Samuels and Darren Bravo are genuine batsmen whicle a few among these can bowl part time as well. Coming to the bowling attack Ravi Rampaul will lead the West Indian fast bowling attack with Anthony Martin, leg spinner Devendra Bishoo and off spinner Ashley Nurse.

The most senior player in the Indian side is the 'Turbanator', Harbhajan Singh followed by Suresh Raina, Praveen Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Munaf Patel, Vinay Kumar, Yusuf Pathan, Amit Mishra, Rohit Sharma. Most of our bowlers are experienced in the ODI formats, but have not tasted the pinch of overseas wickets.

Even in the absence of Gautam, Yuvraj, Sachin and Sehwag youngsters Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Yusuf Pathan have the ability to take on the load on their shoulders. Of course Badrinath can be included in the above mentioned list as he has tons of experience in the first class cricket and IPL seasons too. Wicket Keeper batsmen Parthiv Patel and Wriddhiman Saha will be duo to look at since they will be competing against each other to replace the single seat of MS Dhoni.
