A typical boss question: Why was it done wrong?
Every time however you try, you are prone to mistakes. Either due to comprehending the situation wrongly or unable to finish the task as expected as you may have not got the clear cut idea but don’t answer bluntly.
Try some replies which might sound that you are serious and let him know you tried your level best. Something like.. “I will correct I” or “I can work it and give it to you at the earliest”.
Why did you miss it? / Why you didn’t do it on time?
Time is such an important factor in office works and the business goes to nothing if not done proper. Make sure you avoid such situations and better try to finish them. If not, tell him that you will do it immediately and never postpone it or give vague excuses.
Avoid silly excuses
This is something which annoys many bosses and when you have done something wrong, just accept it than giving some lame excuses. If you are right on your part, try explaining it in the most professional manner without hurting his ego.
Face with confidence
Be aware of your position and the jobs allotted to you. You will be unable to answer when you get stuck in situations where you have no idea of what he is talking about and in such a scene, you are more likely to get fired than be forgiven for your mistake. Because you can do some errors but not be so illiterate to not know the job role properly and do mistakes every time.
