Permissive parenting style allows the child full rights to do anything and they are directly opposite to that of the Authoritarian Parenting Style. Permissive parenting do not define any goal to the children and they are allowed free to do anything. In case any rule is set to the child, the rules are not adhered so long and consistently.

 
Children who are raised under the Permissive parenting style, are not expected anything and they are also not set to guide the child into socially approved behavior.  Parents following this Permissive parenting style shower love without correcting the child in any way. Permissive parents put forth too many choices and allow the child to take their own decision, even if the child is not in a position to take decision.

Permissive parents, least care about the child's behavior without guiding him in all means necessary. They do not explain things to the child, as how the child will benefit from behaving so, or get into trouble by certain behavior. Permissive parents do not care about the misbehavior of the children.

One fine example of Permissive parenting style : When your child snatches a ball from his friend, you simply say “You decide what you should do.”

Effects of Permissive Parenting Style on Children :

-   Become fearful, anxious and aggressive.
-   Want others to be tolerant & patient
-   Demanding and always dependent on the parents
-   No proper communication and interaction
-   Suspect on their own rights
-   Afraid of responsibility
-   Immature and impulsive.
-   Aggressive with the peer group
-   Not easy to deal with
-   Often disobedient
-   Above poor in academics
