Tom Cruise in Rock of Ages Movie Stills

Rock of Ages is an upcoming film starring Tom Cruise as a Rockstar. The film is an adaptation of the Chris D'Arienzo comedy Broadway musical of the same name.

Tom Cruise plays Stacee Jaxx, the lead singer of Arsenal and his role is said to be based on the Guns 'N' Roses frontman Axl Rose. He wears fur coats, jackets, tight leather pants, aviator sunglasses, a bandana and has even inked tattoos.

The film casting include Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Paul Giamatti, Malin Akerman, Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta. The film also stars Bryan Cranston, Kevin Nash, Alec Baldwin and Mary J Blige.

Julianne Hough, the female lead, plays the role of a waitress - Sherrie Christian, while Russell Brand plays Lonny Barnett, the narrator of the story.

The film is said to be having tracks of Jon Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Journey, Poison, Europe and Twisted Sister. The film is a musical and is high on drama with romance wound around 80's rock time. The film is scheduled to release on the 15th of June, 2012 release.
