Once Dhina happens to meet a school girl Poornima and gets impressed by her looks in the same moment. Dina makes sincere efforts to woo her but realizes his failure when Poornima address him as her brother when he tries to propose her. He keeps his life rolling making attempts of previous kind to earn a sincere love, but fails each and every time. As time rolls on Dina gets into college and here the transition of the protagonist from a tutorial college guy to a college hero (Thala) is perfectly shown. Dina emerges as gang leader in the third year of his college and gets immediate respect from his juniors. The twist happens when Poornima, his first love, joins the same college and tries to make friends with Dina apologizing for what she had done to him earlier. Dina's life begins to wobble as he gets disturbed with Poornima around. Poornima in turn shows respect and live to Dina. Dina tries to marry her with the hep of his friends and prepares sincerely for a secret Marriage. Here the director has given a juicy twist which should be experienced by you on watching. Pluses and Minuses : First of all the theme comes into play. Director Pa Ranjith's plot weaved around the lives of happy-go-lucky college guys, whose hearts are filled with emotions for friends and love has worked out well. Dinesh has played his part well, but needs some more fine tuning in his acting as he shows his efforts to act evidently in certain scenes. Dinesh's transition from tutorial student to a college guy has been shown well with apt image makeover. It is quite hard to figure out the heroine, but the second half clearly shows that the female lead is Poornima. Swetha as Poornima had played her part well and suits well to the role of a girl next door. Santosh Narayanan's music is one of the biggest highlights of the film as the background score binds well with the script and especially the main theme music which sounds like the old harmonium with the mix of other sounds needs a special mention. Two Gaana songs “Aadi Pona Aavani” and “Nadu Kadalula” sung by veteran Gaana singer Bala makes the crowd tap their feet. “Aasai Oru Pul Veli” stands out as the best track as the guitar chords, flute and voice, along with the story's situation gives a good feel to us. The story gets bored at times as the same kind of efforts made by the protagonist becomes predictable and with the scenes getting repeated. PK Varma's cinematography is subtle and has shown real colors with no mix of artificial flavoring.
