 Telugu Movie industry is back with a mythological movie and the latest release is Balakrishna and Nayatara starrer Sri Rama Rajyam, in which Balakrihna plays Lord Rama, while Nayantara as Goddess Sita. Sri Rama Rajyam Story The movie which talks about the Uttara Kanda, where Rama returns to Ayodhya to rule his kingdom after slashing the demon Ravana. The film with the similar story line was made as Lava Kucha, with NT Rama Roa and Anjali Devi in the leads and now that classic is being remake again as Sri Rama Rajyam. The film has dealt with the story of hos Rama sends Sita to the forest based on the accusations of a washer man and in the forest Sita gives birth to Lava and Kusha. She is taken care by Valmiki in his ashram and brings up Lava and Kusha teaching them all kids of scholarly reads and the usage of the arches (Artha Sasthra). He also asks them to preach the same across Ayodhya. Lava Kusha grows up and comes back to Ayodhya. At this point Rama conducts Ashwamedha Yagam for the welfare of the people. What happens forms the rest of the story. Sri Rama Rajyam Characters/ Cast Akkineni Nageshwar Rao as Valmiki KR Vijaya as Kausalya Devi Srikanth, as Lakshmana Vindoo Dara Singh, as Hanuman Brahmanandam as washer man Jhansi washer man's wife Roja as Bhoodevi Hema as Mandodari Murali Mohan as King Janaka Sudha as Janaka's wife Sri Rama Rajyam Review Akkineni Nageshwar Rao as Valmiki is majestic, while KR Vijaya as Kausalya Devi has done her part gracefully. Srikanth, as Lakshmana and Vindoo Dara Singh, as Hanuman have done their roles well. The other characters come in brief appearances and has done their parts well. The kids who plays Lava, Kusha and Bala Raju have given some good performance. Now coming to Balakrishna as Lord Rama has given his best to do the role that's well etched in our hearts by NTR. Balakrishna has infact done a commendable job to portray his character that will give him lots of appreciations and has pulled it off neatly. Nayantara whether or not she this is her last film, has taken a lot of efforts to live the role of Sita. She has given a laudable performance and has emoted well and played in subtle in certain occasions. The basic storyline has been taken upon and with some graphics, director Babu has tried to give the current generation audience, the crux of the story with not much of changes in the screen play of the Classic move Lav Kusha. The mythological movie might cater to its female audience who would wish to watch the story of Ramayana on screen after many years and that efforts by the crew of Sri Rama Rajyam has to be appreciated for putting up the show. Ilayaraja's music score adds to the movie's over all appeal, while the art direction, cinematography and graphics elements adds to the movie's story and screenplay.
