Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu Preview

Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is an upcoming rom-com set in Las Vegas that sees the first time pairing of Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor as the leads.

This film produced under the banner of Dharma Productions sees launches debutant director Shakun Batra. The film is targeted at the lovers and is gearing up for the valentine weekend release ( Febrile 10th 2012).

The film Kick started with Imran Khan finalized as its lead after the crew's success of I hate Luv Storys with Imran and decided to have a heroine who has never worked with him before. Which is when Bebo came on board. The film was earlier titled to be Short Term Shaadi, when the film's storyline and setting in Las Vegas was mistaken to be a copy of What Happend in Vegas movie.

The film is mostly shot in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Kareena as Raina plays a hair stylist and Imran as Rahul (typical Dharma productions hero name).

Kareena is said to be playing a bit mad, fun, lighthearted girl, while Imran is a very controlled guy ( actually controlled by his parents).

Going by Imran Khan's description of his and Bebo's charatcter in the film, it does seem similar to the Tamil movie Santosh Subramanium which was remade from the Telugu movie Bommarillu.

Imran Khan explains that his character Rahul has lead his life according to his parent's terms and conditions and has never lived life in his own ways. Though he seem to be mature, he does not know what his life is or how it will be, as most of it has been designed by his parents. When he meets Kareena (Raina) who seems a bit immature, attracts Rahul. It is her zest for life, that makes him fall for her.

Raina in fact teaches him to live the life. Raina is jobless, thrown out of house for not paying rent, she was cheated by her boyfriend and all that comes as an added advantage of her to give fundaas of life. Obviously our Bollywood's Geet (Jab We Met Character of Kareena) has already done that, yet this would be different as it is Imran Khan on the other side and not Shahid Kapoor.

The crew during their promotions had mentioned that the film is a Woody Allen style and the conversations that take place between the leads is more important that keeps the film interesting. Wait till the week, to know its result at the box office.
