Vettai Tamil movie directed by Lingusamy is a multi star cats film with Madhavan, Arya, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul in the leads.

Madhavan and Arya play brothers, where Maddy is a lazy and coward cop. Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul play terror bold sisters.

Madhavan and Sameera Reddy pair up, while Arya's romantic interest is played by Amala Paul. The casting itself makes it an interesting film to look forward to, while another highlight is that the hit Run duo Lingusamy and Maddy are back after 10 years with Vettai.

Also this is the first time fresh pairing of all the four together in a film, where Arya - Madhavan, Amala Paul-Sameera Reddy come together.

The film has Yuvan Shankar Raja's music and the film is produced by UTV Motion Pictures.

Vettai Shoot
The film's shooting Kick-started in Karaikudi, with Madhavan, Arya, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul participating in it.

A song "Dumma Dumma Dummaa", choreographed by Brindha, was shot first, with nearly 2000 people and with the four leads.

A fight sequence, involving Arya and Madhavan, was shot in the Pondicherry University sports complex, while few other key action sequences were filmed at Madurai, Thoothukudi, Thanjavur, Aruppukottai, Madanapalle near Chittor.

The film's introduction song featuring the two leading ladies (which is also said to be the film's highlight) that talks about the value of sister- relationship, was shot in Thanjavur.

The film's climax was shot at Binny Mills near Chennai.

Vettai Tid-bits
Reports had it that the film was initially supposed to start with Anushka Shetty and Tamanna as its leading ladies. Later Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul was roped on board.

Same is the case for male leads where Vijay and Simbu were said to have been approached who later feel off the project and were replaced by Maddy and Arya.
