 Rockstar directed by Imtiaz Ali is an upcoming Hindi movie which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri and has music score by AR Rahman. The film is all set to get released on the 11th of November. The film is an music journey embarked by Janardan Jakhar aka Jordan who on a self discovering journey finds love, betrayal, loneliness, pain and most importantly his soul through his music. The movie is produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd in association with Eros International. Rockstar Storyline Janardan who is a nobody and is not a popular face in college,wants to change that aspect and want to be known and popular. In order to do so, he is told by a well wisher that to become famous he should fall in love and break his heart to become somebody that he wishes to be, in order to be able to be successful, which has been the story of many such people. At that point Janardan falls for a girl who is a beautiful, sophisticated and a popular face in college Heer ( played by Nargis Fakhri). They have a great relationship and they be together forgetting the world around them. But Heer leaves suddenly. Jordan continues with his life and forgets his music, joining to work in his family business. But as fate would have it, he meets Heer again. What happens forms the rest of the movie. Rockstar Musical Journey The film is being highly promoted with music as its USP and the film's crew have not given any high expectations over the story. But what makes the film a must watch is the theme being a musical one which has Ranbir and Nargis as the romantic lead and has Rock music as its theme and is directed by Imtiaz Ali, who is known for giving out some feel good romantic films. The film's score by Rahman is another exciting factor. While the music album is already hot among the music enthusiasts, the song 'Saadda Haq' is touted to be the next youth anthem which is loved by the crowd. In fact this particular song which was to be shot like any other regular number in the film, became a popular one among the people during the shoot in Dharmasala, as they were able to relate to the song and its lyrics. The song then was shot at a huge canvass, and these people would shoot for the song 10 hours a day and every time the song was played on, they felt the music and danced like mad states reports. Director Imtiaz Ali about telling AR Rahman, the musical journey of the lead character in his film explains, "I told him how Jordan, the protagonist is inarticulate, how he can express himself only through music, how his music is influenced by not only his situation but also by the music of the place he visits. So when Jordan is in Prague hanging about with gypsies, he imbibes their spirit and makes gypsy music. This is what Hawaa Hawaa is. Likewise, when Jordan is thrown out of his house, he goes to Hazrat Nizamuddin dargah, spends time with the Qawwals, absorbs their music and plays with them. That journey was not only about understanding music, but also about understanding life." The Dichotomy of Fame will also see the Jugalbandi of Shehnai with Guitar between Ranbir with his real time grandfather late Shammi Kaoor (who plays the Shehnai) in the image of Ustad Bismillah Khan.
