Recent reports had it that Shriya Saran would be paired opposite Karthi for his upcoming movie Saguni.

Directed by Shankar Dayal, Saguni is a political satire, whose shooting is currently taking place in Chennai with Karthi and Santhanam.

The movie also has Radhika Sarathkumar in a important role. Karthi informs media that Shriya is not part pf the movie. He also added that hey are looking fro a fresh new face for the female lead.

The Director it seems wanted a new girl who is very well versed in Tamil, as the female lead is equally important as that of the hero.
