The year 2011 is witnessing a lot of Wedding and good news in the personal lives of Kollywood celebrities. Recently actor Srikanth and Ramba turned parents and its is playback singer Mahathi who has turned mother by delivering a boy baby today.

Mahathi comes from a family which has great music background. Her father is renowned vocalist and disciple of legendary carnatic singer M Balamuralikrishna. Mahathi's mother is also a well known flautist.

Mahathi delivered a boy baby at a private hospital in Chennai. Both the mother and baby are healthy says sources in the know. Mahathi started off her playback singing in the year 2003. Her first song was 'Aiyyaiyyo Pudichirukku' in the film Samy in which she sung the duet with Hariharan. Mahathi entered wedlock a few years ago, with Srikumar.
