| Richa adds to Karthi-Venkat Prabhu's 'Biriyani' |
 It is not Ileana or Samantha as it was suggest earlier, but Richa Gangopadhyay, who has bagged Venkat Prabhu's next with Karthi titled Biriyani. Venkat Prabhu who has taken a long gap after his hit Mankatha is now making news for this film. The film will also include Venkat Prabhu's brother Premgi in an important role. After making her debut in Tamil with Dhanush in Mayakkam Enna, for which she has been appreciated, she bagged a commercial entertainer Osthe opposite Simbu. Now with Biriyani's offer, Richa is super excited to be part of a complete entertainer and to work with Venkat and added, “Patience is a virtue and I’m glad the wait has been worth it. I play atypical girl in it; someone who’s mischievous and not-so innocent. My character is totally involved with the plot.” A source from the film unit about Richa inclusion said, “Venkat has been working on the plot of the film, and with the final script in place, he has now got a clear picture of who he wants in the lead. While several names had been considered, he has zeroed in on Richa. The film will be a suspense thriller, laced with humour, and she will fit the bill. However, formalities haven’t been completed yet.” The source further added, “Venkat wants to go on floors with the project by July 14, and work is on in full swing. Yuvan Shankar Raja has already started working on the tunes, and pre production is almost over. Richa is likely to join the team in the first week of August.” |
