Saif Ali Khan booked for assault

Saif Ali Khan has been charged with an assault case. It is reported that Saif Ali Khan who was accompanied by his friends had been to dinner at the Wasabi restaurant in Taj Hotel in Colaba, Mumbai, where the incident had taken place.

The victim Iqbal Sharma has issued a complaint against the actor and his friends for having attacked him that has resulted in his nose fracture.

Iqbal Sharma had been punched on nose by Saif Ali Khan says the senior police inspector of Colaba police station Vinod Sawant to media. It is said that Iqbal Sharma had objected to the noise made by Saif and his gang and that lead to a heated argument and then the blow had taken place!

We hear that Kareena Kapoor too was present at the incident and her statement will also be recorded as a witness says reports.
Saif Ali Khan and his friends is said to have been booked under IPC 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).

“The section under which he has been booked is bailable. He has to come with a surety and if we find that the surety is a sound surety, we will grant him bail," said, ACP Iqbal Shaikh.

Shaikh also added, "This is what the complainant has said. We are in the process of recording the statements of independent witnesses."

Saif Ali Khan is looking forward to his home production Agent Vinod's rleease which is scheudled for March 23rd 2012, in which Kareena Kapoor is paired with him.
