The scientific names of dates is Phoenix dactylifera.
The fruit is called Date Palm, the fruit is believed to have originated in and around desert oases of northern Africa and, perhaps, southwest Asia. The Date Palm is used as a staple food and the fruit is rich in fiber content and also consists of nutrients like oil, calcium, sulfur, iron, potassium, phosphorous, manganese, copper, magnesium, etc. It is also believed that one date is a minimum of a balanced and healthy diet.
