|New Sony Playstation’s 3D Firmware Update|
According to engadget, Sony is set to release a firmware update for its gaming console playstation 3 which from then on will be able to play 3D content as in movies and few games which support the same. Also, the huge collection of music albums namely ‘Music Unlimited’ will go live in Europe from October.Last June, with the help of game developers and publishers Sony managed to release few 3D enabled high definition titles including Wipeout HD, Super Stardust HD and PAIN. But, the company has slowly realized their lack of 3D content which is becoming essential for nearly all movie releases.
With the same in mind, Sony is geared to launch their firmware update in October which can be downloaded directly to the Play Station 3 console thus enabling it to play 3D movies from then on. Sony’s BDV blu ray player will also receive the same update on the same launch date.
Mick Hocking, Sony’s director of 3D development promised last month that 20 3D titles will be available within the next 12 months. We hope so!
The Sony Bravia television will cost around $1700 to $4230 based on the size and features enabled with the set. The Music Unlimited pricing for European market is not unveiled so far by Sony.
