Maruti Suzuki 800, which is one of the most renowned cars in the automobile industry and got released back 3 decades ago, is now Ready for a replacement for the model and is been expected to be launched by December.

The new Maruti Suzuki 800 will feature the same F8D engine which is been used in the base Alto but with a new updated avatar to compete with current generation vehicles. The company officials speaking about this said to Business Line “A replacement for the 800cc model makes sense as it hasn't been selling very aggressively at about 2,000 units a month. This will be a totally new small car, though based on an existing platform,”

The company official also said that the existing two Alto models will remain as they remain strong in sales (around 20,000 units/month). The Maruti Suzuki 800 will also work on the fuel efficiency and low maintenance as the primary things. Reckoning the style and graphics of the new Maruti Suzuki 800, the style will feature new styling language.

Hyundai's new Eon and Maruti's own Alto are considered to be the rivals of the new Maruti Suzuki 800. Tata motors are also deep in working with the new Nano 800CC. More worse, Nissan-Renault is also eying this particular segment

Maruti 800 stopped its selling on September 2010 in India, as the vehicle could not meet the Bharat Stage IV emissions norms.
