With the end of the Auto Expo 2012, the Indian roads will have 8 new scooters that will be launched in India in 2012. Though there are other bikes and super bikes in lineup, here is a list of scooters that will be launched in 2012. Mahindra Duro DZ 125 :

Duro DZ 125 which was launched at the Indian Auto Expo 2012, the Mahindra Duro DZ 125 is a facelifted version of the 125cc Duro automatic scooter, and the scooter will be available for a price of INR 42,232, ex-showroom Delhi.

Suzuki Swish 125 :

SMIPL unveiled its Swish125 which is a value added scooter priced at Rs 45,431 (Delhi ex-showroom price). The Swish125 is mainly targeted at the young adults of urban India. Swish 125 which is a 4 stroke engine will be available at at SMIPL dealers by March.

Honda Maestro 110cc :

The Honda Maestro 110cc scooter shares the sames engine of the Honda's Aviator which also does the duties in Honda Activa. All the specs, features and capabilities are the same as that of the Aviator and Activa. By launching three products in the Hero's brand name, Hero Motocorp has hinted its aggressive steps in building its own market value.

Piaggio Vespa LX125:

Piaggio Vespa, the Italian beauty which was serving in India as a 4-stroke scooter years before, has reentered Indian market through the 2012 Delhi auto expo. The Vespa LX 125 scooter was launched by Ravi Chopra, chairman and managing director of Piaggio Vehicles.

Honda Dio 110 :

The new Honda Dio also shares its four stroke engine from the Activa. The tubeless tyres and a claimed 15% higher fuel economy are the significant upgrades to the Dio 110.

TVS Qube 100 Hybrid Scooter:

TVS motors will be launching the first hybrid scooter in India by the middle of the year. The Qube is a 100CC four stroke engine which will combine with a hub mounted electric motor.

Yamaha Ray Scooter :

Japanese motorcycle specialist Yamaha will mark its entry to the scooter segment in India with its Yamaha Ray. The prototype of the scooter was unwrapped by Bollywood star John Abraham, who is the brand ambassador of Yamaha in India.

TVS’s yet-to-be-named 125cc Scooter:

The latest entry in the existing list of TVS scooters is the new TVS Wego which boasts about its body balance feature. Apart from this, TVS is working on its new model TVS Neo which is expected to be launched soon in India.
