Tata motors launched the two commercial passenger vehicles in India today namely the Tata Magic Iris and the Tata Ace Zip. The commercial passenger vehicles are an alternative to auto rickshaws with more safety and comfort features.

Tata Magic Iris interiors:

Tata Magic Iris has a car like cabin which can comfortably seat four passengers excluding the driver. Tata Magic Iris aims at providing comfortable cheap local transportation and the main target is rural towns, cities and commercial centers. More comfort is offered for the passengers through the flexible and spacious seating design.

Tata Magic Iris engine:

Tata Magic Iris runs with a 611cc water cooled engine which generates 11 hp power and 3.2 kgm of torque. The vehicle has a 10 litre fuel tank and the engine is capable of pulling loads easily at top speed of 55 km/ph. This offers more earnings for the drivers.

Tata Magic Iris handling and safety:

The Tata Magic Iris is available in 2-inch radials or 10-inch radials controlled by a car type steering which offers greater stability and effortless driving experience. The hard metal roofing and body casing offers car like safety.

The  611cc water cooled engine of Tata Magic Iris offers a claimed mileage of 33 kmpl which is a boon for the commercial passenger mover operators. Tata Motors is in talks with the relevant authorities to launch Tata Magic Iris as people mover in towns and cities.
