| Tata Nano Special Edition snapped testing by ICB |
The special edition of India's cheapest car Tata Nano has been caught testing by the people at indiancarsbikes.in and the new pics seems to be interesting. The new special edition of the Tata Nano comes in two tone finish, red and black. Apart from the two tone finish the car gets new wheel cover design. For those who are eager to know the specifications, it will be the same as that available in the top LX variant of the small car. The wing mirrors and door handles also get a silver color finish. The idea of Tata motors to test the special edition undisguised, says that it might not be forbidden from us for long time. Moreover, Tata Motors might also have plans to launch the special edition on the festival occasion of Diwali 2012 as most of the buyers will be interested in buying. Tata Motors showcased an upgraded version of the Tata Nano in the 2012 Indian Auto Expo which had disc brakes. The special edition model doesn't have the discs placed and hence the special edition will be a festive product with cosmetic changes alone. The special edition might be launched at the same price or just slightly higher by a few thousands. ![]() The current version of Tata Nano has a 623cc, twin cylinder-liquid cooled petrol engine bolted under the hood which outputs peak power of 37 PS and 51 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The highlight of the engine is its ARAI certified mileage of 25.4 Kmpl. Low cost, smaller dimensions, high fuel economy, frugal engine mated with a four-speed transmission suits the city roads well. This helps the car owners to easily run through the gaps in traffic. The Tata Nano CNG version (petrol-Gas) will be launched in the coming months with a slightly higher price tag than the petrol variant. Image source : indiancarsbikes.in |
