Maruti-Suzuki-SX4-Diesel

Maruti Suzuki SX4 sedan which is being sold globally under different names, is likely to get a facelift soon. We have also heard of the 2014 version of Maruti Suzuki SX4 being tested, but still the makers have an idea of getting a facelift done in the meanwhile. The SX4 sedan will join the Grand Vitara which got a facelift very recently.

However, we cannot expect much in the facelift version except a very few cosmetic changes as the 2014 SX4 sedan is getting Ready for release soon. In other words, the SX4 facelift will be the one for keeping the car up to date in the competitive market until the 2014 SX4's entry. The vehicle is expected to get a new refreshed look at the front end in the form of new grille, bumper and Headlights.

The interiors will not have changes and the same applies for the engine as well. SX4 is currently sold in petrol and diesel variants and a CNG variant is also available in India. The SX4 sedan has been a below average performer in terms of sales volumes. A car which is available in many variants could have surely done better and so the facelift will not make a big impact in the market.

Only the petrol variant having the 1.3 Liter Fiat Multijet turbo diesel engine which pumps out 90 Bhp-200 Nm is a brisk seller in the market. The petrol and CNG variants having the 1.6 Liter K-Series VVT engine are pretty dull in sales.

All the variants are available in five-speed manual gearbox and the petrol variant alone is available in four-speed automatic transmission. The SX4 has its advantages too. The vehicle is a good buy for people looking out for high ground clearance, mow maintenance cost and good proven engine.
