Mahindra and Mahindra have braced their position in the SUV market of India through their XUV-500 SUV. Now, the homegrown player in automobiles is Ready to launch the facelift version of Xylo MPV to strengthen its position more. The facelift version of Mahindra Xylo and the much awaited Mini Xylo have been in the making for quite sometime now.

2012 Mahindra Xylo Facelift launch date in India :

Official sources from Mahindra and Mahindra confirm that the facelift version of the SUV will be launched by 8th of February, 2012. The waiting period has also increased the number of competitors in the field. Mahindra made a smart movie by opting not to showcase both of these (Xylo facelift and Xylo Mini) in the 2012  Auto Expo and now both these vehicles will have their 100 percent star value.

2012 Mahindra Xylo Facelift design :

The design department of Mahindra has played a major role in justifying the facelift tag for the 2012 Mahindra Xylo MPV. As per the universal facelift norms, the Xylo facelift gets new Headlights, Bonnet, bumpers, tail lamps and minor touches in overall design.

The front grille design seems to have been inspired from the XUV-500 SUV. This time the design is far more better and rich in looks than the one which the Xylo had during its limited edition launch. The interiors have been given a addition of two new features.

2012 Mahindra Xylo Facelift engine:

The Xylo MPV is presently available with two turbo diesel engine options, the 112-bhp 2.2-liter common rail mEagle engine and 95-bhp 2.2-liter DI direct injection engine. A main thing which is unclear about the engines are improvement in power and torque capacity. It is also said that the facelift Mahindra Xylo might get a all-wheel drive variant which will be named as E9.
