The French car maker, Renault has announced that it will be launching a specifically designed hatchback small car for Indian markets. Renault, after drifting away from Mahindra tie up has independently come up with sedan Renault Fluence and Renault Koleos SUV. Moreover, Renault the Dacia Duster SUV is also on the cards for an India launch.

Renault New hatchback expected price:
Renault has launched its sedan, Fluence and is waiting for launching its SUV Koleos. With a car in each segment, Renault is lacking a competitor from its stable in the small hatchback car segment. Renault New hatchback is expected to be launched with a price tag of around Rs 5 lakhs. The new hatchback from Renault will be a direct competitor for Toyota Etios Liva, Maruti Swift, Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo, Honda Brio, Chevrolet Beat, Nissan Micra and Fiat Punto.

On the other hand, a few reliable sources report that the new Renault New hatchback to be launched is the Renault Clio. Hopefully, Renault Clio will be the hatchback car launched by Renault in the Auto Expo 2012. As of now, Renault has not leaked any specific information about the variants, highlights of the car, But, Renault Clio is expected to be available with the pricing, features, facilities and variants at an affordable cost in order to compete with other small car giants like Maruti, Hyundai etc.

Renault's Executive Vice President (Product Planning and Program) Philippe Klein, during a media interaction had assured that the new hatchback car from Renault will be launched in the B or B+ segment and will have all the Indian features available. Philippe Klein has also confirmed that the new Renault Dacia Duster will be launched as their fourth car in India after the launch of Renault hatchback car.
