2012 GT250R launched at INR 2.75 lakhs

2012-Hyosung-GT250R

The much expected 2012 GT250R from Hyosung in collaboration with the DSK Motowheels has been launched in India at a price of INR 2.75 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Since Hyosung split up with Garware recently, the 2012 Hyosung GT250R will be assembled by DSK Motowheels in India.

Considering the price of the Hyosung GT250R, it will lock horns with the Kawasaki Ninja 250R rather than the Honda CBR 250R as it is price higher.

The introduction of the GT250R is expected to strengthen the foothold of Korean bike maker Hyosung in India with the existing list of GT650R, the GT650N and the ST7.

Except the fairing work, the 2012 GT250R does posses the same features as that of the previous model GT250R.

2012 Hyosung GT250R engine :

The bike is powered by a 250cc V-Twin four stroke, air-cooled engine capable of producing 28 Bhp of peak power and 23 Nm of peak torque. An oil cooler recirculates the oil through a radiator for keeping the temperature in check while cruising at high speeds.

The lack of liquid cooling technology puts the Hyosung GT250R behind its rival Kawasaki Ninja 250R which has liquid cooled engine. The V-Twin engine is mated to a five-speed constant mesh gearbox.

2012 Hyosung GT250R other features :

First let us look upon some of the impressive features of the new Hyosung GT250R. The sports bike can reach a top-speed of 149km/h and also can do the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 8.33 seconds.

Coming to the suspensions the bike makes use of upside down forks and twin disc brakes at the front. A monoshock suspension is placed at the rear.

2012 Hyosung GT250R bookings and deliveries :

The 2012 Hyosung GT250R can be booked from the DSK-Hyosung (DSK Motowheels) 18 dealerships across India from today (13-06-12). The vehicles are expected to hit the showrooms by the next week, while the deliveries will begin in the the next two weeks from now.

2012 Hyosung GT250R colors :

The sporty beast is available in three dashing colors White-red, Red-black and Silver-red.

Hyosung Garware split and Hyosung DSK Motowheels collaboration :

Korean bike major Hyosung split with Indian company Garware recently and joined hands with the DS Kulkarni group who are good players in real estate and car dealerships. DSK Motowheels hold dealerships for Toyota cars in Western India and are known for their quality service.
